  • Health & Safety

    • All employees have the right to refuse unsafe work under the Workers Compensation Act, Occupational Health and Safety Regulation – Section 3.13
    • You have the legal right to a healthy and safe workplace

  • Education

    • There are 18 members enrolled for the in-person shop steward course happening March 8th and March 9th. Covid protocols will be in place.
    • We’re looking forward to an in-person CUPE School in Kamloops, scheduled for the end of April. Please watch for email updates in the weeks to follow.
  • Equity

    • March 8th is the day that we celebrate International Women’s Day. 
    • We need to work towards a world free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination. A world that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive. A world where differences are valued and celebrated. Together we can forge women’s equality. Collectively we can all Break The Bias.  Please see our window display at our local union office at 116 Seymour Street, Kamloops.
  • CUPE 900

    • We are made of up 13 different units/employers, with each having its own unit chair and shop stewards. Any member who is unsure who their shop stewards are can call the CUPE office at 250-374-0042 for more information. We also have information packages available for any new member of CUPE 900. Please ask your union rep or inquire at the Union office if you are interested in one.
